Fold, Carry & Go! The Stowaway is Here!

Made with on-the-go parents like you in mind, the Ergobaby Stowaway Carrier is an amazing combination of comfort and compactness.  For traveling, the farmer’s market, or a simple stroll in the city, the Stowaway is ready to go!

It has the padded shoulder straps and waist belt that make all Ergobaby carriers so comfortable, yet it easily folds into its own front pouch for compact storage. Stow it in a stroller, stash it in your car. You can even wear it on your wrist, thanks to the handy strap. When it’s folded, the Stowaway Carrier is about the size of a clutch bag or an Ergobaby Travel Pouch.

Available in Navy or Olive.

  • omg what a great idea!! thats the only problem i have with my ergo carrier lol but i love mines!! i just stick in in the bottom of the stroller! =0) but this will be perfect when i am not with the stroller!

  • I'm so intrigued by the Ergo Baby carriers, but I thought it was way too large for my frame and my small baby ( even with the baby insert, which was a hassle in and of itself). How does this compare in size?

    • I have the original carrier. I am 4'11" and Ergo is about the only carrier that comfortably adjusts to my short frame. Love it!

    • The size is comparable to the Original Carrier, it just does not have as much padding. Most people with smaller frames prefer the Original Carrier. Hope that helps! Thanks for your interest in Ergobaby!

  • wow I would so love to try this out and write about it... very intrigued at the design and wonder... will it actually work? How long can you carry baby before your back gets sore... so far your original design can carry a 20 pound baby for over 5 hrs w/o any back aches... how will this hold up.... hum

    • This carrier is designed for comfortable shorter term use, as it has less foam in the waist belt and the shoulder straps than our Original Carriers or other collections. Hope that helps. Thanks for your interest in Ergobaby!

    • The Stowaway is a very lightweight carrier made of 100% recycled polyester, which is much more likely to "wick" away the sweat vs the cotton which will stay on the carrier for quite some time.

  • Really?!?! Isn't this a complete Boba Air rip off? Isn't ErgoBaby the reason Manduca carriers aren't allowed to be sold in the US because you claimed copyright infringement, yet you go right ahead and steal Boba's design?

    • Thanks so much for your feedback. All of our designs here at Ergobaby are completely original and are usually in development for over a year before they reach production. Thanks for your interest in Ergobaby!

  • I've researched all types of baby carriers and the ergo baby carrier is clearly the best! Other carriers work but the ego baby carrier seems to have the best support for your back and comfort. I currently am using another brand of carrier and I really wished I had bought the ergo baby carrier instead. It would make our daily family walks, shopping, and outings just so much easier (and easier on my back). I'd love to own one some day.

    • The Stowaway is not as padded as the Performance Carrier and it can fold up into itself as a pouch. The Performance Carrier, while light, cannot fold into itself. Additionally, the Performance is designed for long hikes outdoors, while the Stowaway is best for shorter trips. Hope that helps.
