Give Us Your Milk Stained…

Give us your milk-stained, your tear-soaked, your spit upon. Your Ergobaby has seen it all, but a new baby is ready to explore. Introducing #EverloveByErgobaby, a first of its kind carrier buyback and restoration program.

Thank you, Portland!  You brought us your milk-stained and tear-soaked baby carriers and helped support the next set of proud (and overwhelmed!) parents!  We had our first Everlove Intake Event, co-hosted by KEEN and Darling Clementine.  Families who brought in their carrier were gifted a goody bag and had the opportunity to make their own trail mix with re-usable Bumkins snack bags and participate in sustainable crafts from The Far Woods.

We also read our Everlove book to all the kids.  The power of books and storytelling is a great place to begin the conversation about sustainability and taking care of our Mother Earth.

From upcycled crafts to the clothes on our backs, sustainability was the theme of the day.  Our friends at Christy Dawn not only provided raffle prizes, but they outfitted the entire Team Ergobaby!  Each dress is made using upcycled fabric, and sewn in Los Angeles by their team of dressmakers. We were able to visit their headquarters and meet with their team, keeping it local and sustainable.

Our team of brand ambassadors, led by Customer Care manager, Sarah, checked in and inspected all of the baby carriers.

Since many of the families who are “retiring” their Ergobaby have older children, the activities were centered around older kids.  Children (and their parents!) were invited to make their own trail mix, with re-usable bags from Bumkins.  We had several stations where children could make crafts, including a sewing table where our friends at the Far Woods led the kids in creating their own re-usable bags, made from upcycled materials, including some materials from KEEN shoes! And for the parents, they had the chance to enter raffles with prizes from State Backpacks, KEEN shoes, Christy Dawn, and Micro Scooters!

We believe that instilling love for Mother Earth begins early.  So we were thrilled to have a young audience to listen to our Everlove book.  Storytelling is a powerful way to engage children early and instill values of sustainability and taking care of each other and the planet we live on.
