September, Safety, and Service

Welcome to September. We hope you enjoyed a relaxing long weekend. This month marks so many things, back to school for those of you with older kiddos, the beginnings of Fall (Team Pumpkin Spice or no?), and for us it’s JPMA Baby Safety Month. Babywearing is an amazing, safe, and dare we say life-changing tool for parents, so we are taking this opportunity to talk about tips for safe and happy babywearing.

The theme for Baby Safety Month is “Month of Service,” so we are highlighting some of our favorite organizations that we support and making additional donations this month.

We have had a long relationship with Baby2Baby, as their headquarters are here in Los Angeles. Baby2Baby provides low-income children ages 0-12 with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. By distributing to over 85 non-profit partner organizations including homeless and domestic violence shelters, Head Start programs, and children’s hospitals, Baby2Baby will serve more than 100,000 children this year. We support Baby2Baby by donating baby carriers and other products.

Another organization we have had an amazing history with is Every Mother Counts (EMC). We collaborated with them on a baby carrier a few years back, and believe their work is important and vital. EMC aims to increase education and support for maternal mortality reduction globally and engage new audiences to better understand the challenges and the solutions while encouraging them to take action to improve the lives of girls and women worldwide.

This week, we will be speaking with Laura Brown, babywearing educator and postpartum doula. She will be sharing her babywearing story, as well as tips for safe and happy babywearing.

This Week’s Schedule:

Wednesday, September 9 at 2PM PST
IG Live: Safe and Happy Babywearing with Laura Brown

Saturday, September 12 at Noon PST
Love Carries On Facebook Group: Babywearing 101
