Ergobaby has been pioneering comfort & ergonomics in baby carriers for over 10 years and has long consulted with medical professionals when developing our beloved baby carriers.

As Ergobaby continues to improve existing products, and begins to offer new products, we want to make sure we maintain our high quality standard and continue to develop products that are comfortable and ergonomic for parents and babies.

We’ve enlisted the help of medical professionals around the globe, and across several areas of expertise to help us scrutinize our products through the development process to make sure we continue to deliver products of the highest quality and standard.

Tanya Altmann, MD, FAAP

A working mother and UCLA-trained pediatrician who practices in Southern California, Dr. Tanya Altmann is a best-selling author, network televisionparenting expert, and entertainment industry consultant. Dr. Tanya Altmann is an American Academy of Pediatrics spokesperson, approved by the national physician organization to communicate complicated medical issues into easily understood concepts.

William Sears, MD

William Sears, M.D. has been advising busy parents on how to raise healthier families for over 40 years. He received his medical training at Harvard Medical School’s Children’s Hospital in Boston and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, the world’s largest children’s hospital, where he was associate ward chief of the newborn intensive care unit before serving as the chief of pediatrics at Toronto Western Hospital, a teaching hospital of the University of Toronto. He has served as a professor of pediatrics at the University of Toronto, University of South Carolina, University of Southern California School of Medicine, and University of California: Irvine. As a father of 8 children, he coached Little League sports for 20 years, and together with his wife Martha has written more than 40 best-selling books and countless articles on baby care and parenting. He serves as a health consultant for baby magazines, TV, radio and other media, and his AskDrSears.com website is one of the most popular health and parenting sites. Dr. Sears has appeared on over 100 television programs, including 20/20, Good Morning America, Oprah, Today, The View, and Dr. Phil, and was featured on the cover of TIME Magazine in May 2012. Dr. Bill and Martha coined the popular term “babywearing” and helped to promote this style of attachment parenting.

Robert H. Cho, MD

Dr. Robert H. Cho is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at UCLA. He is actively involved in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, and the Scoliosis Research Society. He has presented numerous research papers, posters, and presentations around the world on outcomes of scoliosis and limb deformity surgery and improving surgical safety and efficiency. Dr. Cho lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two beautiful daughters.

Howard Chilton, MD

A neonatologist for over 30 years currently practicing out of the Prince of Wales Hospital, Royal Hospital for Women and Sydney Children’s Hospital in Australia. Prior to landing down under, Dr. Chilton spent time honing his skills in London, Oxford, South Africa, and Denver, CO. He’s the author of several child development bookswhere he gives lots of practical advice, and humorously educates new parents on all the ins and outs of raising an infant.

Elizabeth Bachner, LM, CPM, LAc

For more than a decade, Elizabeth has practiced midwifery, expertly combining her diverse body of skills in pre and perinatal psychology, acupuncture and communications to passionately educate and inspire women to understand their bodies and birth experiences. With a degree in Child Psychology from Tufts University, Elizabeth is uniquely in tune with the full spectrum of family needs around birth and baby planning. In addition to serving Los Angeles based families as a practicing midwife – both at home and in her well established Silver Lake Birthing Center: GraceFull Birthing – Elizabeth has been passionately dedicated to supporting and inspiring women for more than a decade, as celebrated by People, ET, In-Side Edition and CBS News. Elizabeth is featured as a leading expert on shows including The Doctors, VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Hollywood and Tia & Tamera. Erica Chidi Cohen, CD, CLEC

As the founder of The Mama Circle, Erica integrates her skills as a Certified Doula and Certified Lactation Educator Counselor to create unique support experiences for growing families.

Marcy Sauter, IBCLC

Marcy Sauter is a postpartum doula in the Los Angeles/Orange county area. She provides support to mothers and families post birth for lactation and postpartum doula services. As a mother herself, she understands and is sensitive to needs of the new mother and family. Rebecca Michi, Sleep Consultant

A British born and trained children’s sleep consultant based in Seattle. Rebecca is passionate about helping children and their parents build healthy habits so they can finally get some sleep. Rebecca uses many different gentle sleep training techniques, and never uses cry-it-out.

Jennifer Lezak

Jennifer Lezak is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She studied and received her training at UCSD. The proud mother of two boisterous young boys, she understands the fears that go along with becoming a new parent. Jennifer loves helping new moms not only successfully breastfeed but to also manage the daily tasks of surviving motherhood. Lindsey Shipley, RN, IBCLC

Lindsey Shipley, RN, IBCLC is a mom of 2, Registered Nurse, Childbirth Educator and Board Certified Lactation Coach. She owns Lactation Link, a private practice offering breastfeeding support through her classes, website, and online support forum. Lindsey’s goal is to empower women through education to reach their goals, whatever they may be.
