Describe your Ergobaby life in three words

Supportive, Affirming, Revolutionary

My love and appreciation for babywearing was born out of sheer necessity. All of a sudden I had a 5 year old starting kindergarten, a husband eye-ball deep in nursing school, and a newborn baby that I had no idea what to do with. My oldest son was adopted, so the fresh-from-the-womb overwhelm was brand new to me. And that learning curve was STEEP. I was struggling, big time. My baby fussed and cried and needed constant consolation, and my fear and anxiety of “doing something wrong” grew and grew. Luckily I was fortunate enough to find Ergobaby early on. With my Ergobaby I was able to hold and soothe my son while also still functioning like a regular human being. I was able to love on him, and give him the closeness and protection that he cried for, all the while giving me my two hands (and sanity!) that I so desperately needed. Being able to eat, load the dishwasher, fold laundry… ah! Things that otherwise may not ever seem magical, became exactly that. All of a sudden I didn’t feel like I was drowning under the weight of regular life anymore. Because of Ergobaby I didn’t have to lug around a heavy infant carrier, or cart a big stroller from place to place. Because of Ergobaby I was able to take my boys places where strollers couldn’t navigate. Because of Ergobaby I was able to bond with my youngest, while still tending to my oldest. And because of Ergobaby I am able to share the priceless gift of babywearing with families across the country. Never in a million years did I think something as simple as a baby carrier would transform my life, but it absolutely has. I owe so so so much to Ergobaby and the Original carrier will forever have a huge piece of my heart. Babywearing is the gift that keeps on giving, and Ergobaby is to thank for that!
