Day in the Dream: Baby Veya

Tell us about your family.

Our little family is composed of myself, my husband Khepera, and our daughter Veya who is 18 months old now. We are quite the dynamic bunch, I’d say! My husband and I are very big on living in the moment, in the now. Being present and staying mindful and holding love at the forefront of our vision is what anchors all of us together 🙂 Collectively we are rather adventurous, and spirit-oriented people! We typically spend every day together out connecting with mama earth and growing closer to each other.

Describe your parenting style.

I would say that compassion, patience, and acceptance are the foundation of how I choose to parent and my relationship to my daughter. The constant thought for me in all our interactions is ‘How can I bring more love into this moment?’

How has parenthood changed you?

Being a mother has made me better in every way. For me being the best parent I can be also means being the best version of myself. Motherhood has really pushed me to prioritize my own growth and evolution so that I can set a great example of what it means to be a woman for my daughter.

Tell us what brings you joy?

Seeing my family filled with happiness. Connecting deeply to the earth and to Spirit. Dancing wildly, and experiencing really really good clean food 🙂

What does home mean for your family?

For us, home is simply just being together!
