Happy fall! We're loving the rich autumn colors, adventures to the pumpkin patch and the smell of roasting vegetables for dinner. This fall, along with celebrating babywearing, we're meditating on mindful parenting, honoring adoptive families and taking the time to breathe in the joy of connecting with our families. Just in time for the season, we're happy to give you a look at our newest carriers, Ventus Purple and Marine, as well as a new Swaddler design. To show them in action, we followed some families on their fall adventures and we'll be highlighting their stories on the blog this season. Be sure to follow along at #ergobabyeveryday. Back in 2002, a mother living on Maui was not satisfied with the baby carrying options available to her. Looking to keep her new son close to her body, she tried seven different carriers, some of which worked fairly well, but nothing that satisfied her needs for comfort and ergonomics. With a background in design, she set out to create something that was both comfortable and easy for parents to use. With that, the ergonomic, comfortable design of the Ergobaby Baby Carrier was born.
With that humble design, Karin Frost revolutionized how we carry babies. Her soft structured carrier (SSC) design has become the gold standard. This month, we had the honor of participating in the Operation Shower/Birdies for the Brave group baby shower for 40 military moms-to-be whose spouses are deployed members of the U.S. Navy, Naval Submarine School and Connecticut Army National Guard. Ergobaby is excited to support several Operation Shower events, providing carriers for deserving moms as part of their signature "Shower in a Box."
