I believe sharing what you are passionate about with your children can be such a gift to them. In my opinion, it inspires your children to find things in life that they are passionate about. For me, it is Holy Yoga (a Christian based approach to yoga). I'm a certified yoga instructor, and I am currently going through Holy Yoga training to become a Holy Yoga instructor. Next to being a mother and wife, it is what I am passionate about. I love incorporating my faith into movement of body, mind, and spirit.
It can be difficult finding the time to exercise as a new mom. But it doesn't have to be! Incorporate your time on your mat with your little ones! Below are a few yoga poses you can do with your little one in your Ergo.
I would suggest having bare feet when you practice, and to stand near a wall or a sturdy chair to balance yourself while practicing yoga with a little one in tow. Take all the precautions

Especially if daddy’s doing the babywearing. On a hot day!
We set out one morning (a bit later than we’d planned) to harvest fresh, ripe blueberries from our local berry farm.
Set on a windy hillside, the acres of land include a playground, farm store, pond, and fields after fields of fruit trees and berry bushes. It’s truly a sight to behold as you drive in, and then later as you ride the truck out to the berry patch.
Daddy and sons took a stroll out to find frogs while we waited for the farm truck.
Babywearing while berry picking is a must, as you’re not likely getting a stroller onto the bench-seat-only farm truck. At least not without some frowns from the other passengers who’d love the space!

For years, I have dreamed of visiting Chicago and spending the day in The Shedd Aquarium. I never really thought it would come to fruition but I continued to dream. This summer my dream came true when our family drove through Chicago on our way to a preacher's conference in the Detroit area. It was just as amazing as I thought it would be and even though we spent 6 hours there, I could go back again.
The Shedd Aquarium is located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. It is the largest indoor aquarium in the world, with more than 8000 aquatic animals. Depending on when you go, there are always special exhibits. Our family had the opportunity to see the Jellies and to participate in the new Stingray Touch.
When you decide to visit the Aquarium, the first thing I recommend doing is deciding what times you would like to be there and which exhibits you want to see. Our family decided to

We're thinking of taking a day trip to the beach. I wanted to go longer, but my husband thinks it will be a big hassle with the baby. I've been trying to think of everything we'll need to make the trip go smoothly:
1. I'm thinking some sort of sun shade is in order. Although there are some really amazing sunscreens out there, I've read that you shouldn't use sunscreen on babies younger than six months. So an umbrella or

When my husband and I were on a recent trip to Italy we visited Castello di Ama and did their winery tour. The winery has an amazing Chianti Classico, Olive Oil and an amazing art exhibit.
Before planning the trip we had to plan how we would carry our one-year-old daughter, Ava around. It was Ava’s first trip to Europe and the terrain at the winery was not ideal for a stroller.
We found the perfect solution to our problem, the Ergobaby Organic Baby Carrier. The Ergobaby is easy to put on and it fits to your size. The fabric is high quality. The Ergobaby holds your baby in an ergonomic, natural sitting position. Not only was it great for my daughter, my husband managed to carry Ava through the vineyard tour without getting a sore back.

"Why is my baby so fussy?" is a question I get asked by many moms and dads as I speak to new parents in my role as a postpartum doula and Int'l Board Certified Lactation Consultant. There is no easy answer to this question. However, if parents understood the physiological makeup of their baby, and respond to it the way nature designed them, then the question would be less of an issue.
First of all, just because the umbilical cord has been cut, an infant still does not have autonomy. Babies should feel so connected to their primary caregiver that they think they are one unit. In a perfect world, it is optimal that a child be worn for the first 12 months and beyond. This ensures the baby

This month, we had the honor of participating in the Operation Shower/Birdies for the Brave group baby shower for 40 military moms-to-be whose spouses are deployed members of the U.S. Navy, Naval Submarine School and Connecticut Army National Guard. Ergobaby is excited to support several Operation Shower events, providing carriers for deserving moms as part of their signature "Shower in a Box." We are proud to be among other supporting sponsors, such as Travelers, the Travelers Championship, Petunia Pickle Bottom, 4moms and “Extra.”
“Extra” correspondent and expectant mom Hilaria Thomas Baldwin was on hand to help honor local military families as a host. Baldwin, who is expecting her first child in a few months with her husband, Alec Baldwin said of the event, “Preparing for a baby is incredibly exciting, but can also be very expensive.

I often hear new parents talk about all of the things they “can’t do” now that they have a child(ren). One thing that seems to make that list time and time again is hiking. Every time I hear this I just want to scream I mean honestly what better way to bond with your child than getting out and experience the great outdoors together with a nice hike. So maybe you can’t do those 10-15 mile hikes that you once did and overnight backpacking trips will have to be put on hold until your little one can carrier their own pack but besides those few little things hiking is most definitely something you can do with your child at most any age.
My husband Neil fell in love with hiking a few years ago and I have slowly become fond of hiking myself and have even gone on a few 10-15 mile hikes and an overnight trip with him. When our daughter arrived last summer we unfortunately didn’t make it out for any of the hiking season due to my slow postpartum recovery and just the busy-ness

My husband and I enjoy hiking and were determined to keep hiking a part of our life even after we had children. We therefore found ways to make hiking both possible AND fun with an infant or young toddler. So in the spirit of fun times ahead, here are a few tips for hiking with your baby.
1. Only hike in good weather
This may go without saying, but many adults have no problem hiking in the rain or the cold. Babies, on the other hand, are not as able to regulate their body temperature like adults can and since they are not generating heat through activity, they can lose body heat quickly through their hands and feet. What’s more, babies and young children do not follow instructions even when it’s to their benefit to do so! No matter what you do, sometimes your child will insist on hanging a foot, hand, or even head outside of the rain cover or poncho to get cold and wet. The end result? Unhappy baby, unhappy parents. Always check the weather forecast before
